This page shows the final CD and LD maps from the Redistricting Commission of 2011 that were passed by the Legislature on February 7th. Below that are the district boundaries that existed between 2002 and 2011. I also have a map of the city boundaries so you can compare and contrast the new lines with cities to see if and where they are broken up into multiple districts.
The maps passed by the Commission on January 1st were presented to the Legislature on January 9th. The Legislature then made some technical changes that the Commission had not had time to do. These maps are approved by the Legislature, so they are in effect for the 2012 elections.
The Washington State Democratic Central Committee has directed Legislative and Congressional District organizations to begin operating within the new boundaries within 30 days of adoption by the Legislature. If you have any questions about the transition and what steps you need to take, please ask your party leaders. Questions may be asked of the Washington State Democratic Leaders Mailing list or asked directly of WSDCO officers or WSDCC staff.
I have moved the previous drafts onto a separate page so this page loads faster. Please click here to see the previous versions. These maps will work for as long as the files are available on the Redistricting Commission website. If any of them do not work, please let me know so I can remove them.
The Redistricting Commission provided this map of city boundaries, and I thought it was useful enough to keep.
