History will be made this month - Barack Obama will be inaugurated as the 44th President of the United States, Tuesday January 20, 2009. Record crowds are anticipated in Washington, D.C., to view this momentous occasion. Celebrate!

Democratic Precinct Committee Officer (PCO) Appointments

Legislative District Chairs receive PCO applications in each two-year term. The District organizations introduce the potential, new PCOs and vote on the applications. The signed forms are then sent to the County Chair for final approval and addition to the official list of PCOs.

Appointment of PCOs can start as early as the District re-organization meetings, if the County Chair is available to attend and sign forms. If County Chair is not available and county bylaws allow, the following is applicable:

Reports from polling locations indicate a very high number of voters; absentee ballot returns are also at an all-time high.
This normally indicates a good Democratic turnout.

WSDCO Meeting - September 13th 11:45 am

The Executive Board of the WSDCO is planning a great meeting in Tulalip, Saturday September 13th, 11:45 am through 1:30 pm.
The agenda will include: 1) Open Discussion on the 2008 Caucus/Convention cycle; 2) Presentation by newly appointed, Honorary Chair of East Asian Community Outreach - Dr. Bobby Virk; 3) Washington for Change (Coordinated Campaign) discussion, and more.
Box lunches and water/colas will be available at the back of our meeting room, Chinook 1.

DNC Day 1 - We are Looking Good!

What a great start to the 2008 convention with Senator Kennedy and soon to be First Lady Michelle Obama -- a truly inspiring evening. And, it can only get better today, tomorrow and Thursday. There are many events scheduled around the State to celebrate the historic occasion of the nomination of Senator Barack Obama on Thursday - get involved and attend - check your local websites for events!

And, let's all do everything we can to get the vote out on November 4, 2008 so that we have victories up and down the ticket for the Democratic Party!
