After the Congressional District Caucuses on May 17th, I would like to put the two campaigns to work building our infrastructure. We need the Delegates and Alternates from the Precinct Caucuses to join the party and become PCO's, and we need them to file for that office with the county elections departments.
In order for the campaigns and the rest of the party to know the precincts where we need PCO's, we need to have an accurate list of where those PCO's are. And the most centralized resource that we have to help us get a clear picture of where we stand in terms of PCO's is Votebuilder.
So, last night at the KCDCC meeting I put some time into researching how many PCO's are identified in Votebuilder around the state. Here is the result:
| County | PCO's in Votebuilder |
|---|---|
| Adams | 4 |
| Asotin | 2 |
| Benton | 43 |
| Chelan | 43 |
| Clallam | 17 |
| Clark | 3 |
| Columbia | 0 |
| Cowlitz | 31 |
| Douglas | 12 |
| Ferry | 4 |
| Franklin | 17 |
| Garfield | 1 |
| Grant | 2 |
| Grays Harbor | 18 |
| Island | 5 |
| Jefferson | 0 |
| King | 630 |
| Kitsap | 71 |
| Kittitas | 14 |
| Klickitat | 3 |
| Lewis | 31 |
| Lincoln | 13 |
| Mason | 29 |
| Okanogan | 5 |
| Pacific | 6 |
| Pend Oreille | 0 |
| Pierce | 99 |
| San Juan | 3 |
| Skagit | 42 |
| Skamania | 4 |
| Snohomish | 226 |
| Spokane | 92 |
| Stevens | 17 |
| Thurston | 64 |
| Wahkiakum | 1 |
| Walla Walla | 3 |
| Whatcom | 42 |
| Whitman | 9 |
| Yakima | 26 |
I think that Clark County has more than 3 PCO's. And I think we have PCO's in Jefferson, Columbia, and Pend Oreille. I'll break the list down by LD in the next few days and post those results as well.
These numbers are not accurate. I know they are not. But I'm going to run with them on May 18th, and try and get people to file for PCO in all of the precincts that don't have one. So how do we fix this?
I am willing to help any chair, and any PCO coordinator around the state, to get these numbers up to what they should be. Contact me. I will respond. Please let me help us build our party around the state.
