This hit my inbox today:
Hi all,
Today I dropped off at Sen. Murray's and Sen. Cantwell's offices some of the petitions from the King Co. Democrats. In Sen. Cantwell's office was a handout, dated July 9, 2009, indicating her current position on the public option. I've attached it.
Unrelated, someone sent me the Washington State Democratic Party Platform passed by Convention June 14, 2008 (a year ago). In it health care was declared "a basic human right." And "We call for…A comprehensive, single-payer national health care plan emphasizing prevention, primary care, and chronic disease management, using available evidence-based guidelines…" I do realize that political platforms are for running on, not for standing on (not original by me).
Don
Thank you, Senator Cantwell!
