Legislative Action Committee

The Legislative Action Committee is a way for our members to help push our platform into political policy. We pay close attention to the actions of our Legislators in Olympia, identifying and supporting specific bills that help promote our values of economic justice and fairness.

Our 2010 Agenda

Our state is facing a $2.6B shortfall. It is time to consider ways to balance our expenses AND revenue sources to make our state fair for all of our citizens.

Our 2009 Agenda

In 2009, Washington State is being hit hard by the economic downturn. We expect to see cuts in the budget that will hurt working families around the state, and we will be working hard to fight against those cuts. While we recognize that the budget must be balanced, we don't believe it should be balanced on the backs of the people who are already hurting from home foreclosures, the challenging credit crisis and the deep jobs recession.
